Story - The Girl With Two Right Feet
Story - The Girl With Two Right Feet
Saturday, October 6, 2007
One day not too long ago, there was a girl named Libby who had two right feet. She grew up very sad. Not because she had two right feet, and no left feet, but because of her shoes. Yes, her shoes. You see, her mother and father would not buy her any cute shoes! They had to buy two pairs of the same style shoes in order to get two right shoes. There was only one shoe store in town and cute shoes, well, because they are cute, sell much quicker than plain ugly shoes. Her parents could never find two pairs at the same time!
One day, a new girl named Claire moved from the other side of town. She was shy and it was hard for her to make friends, and she always left class as soon as the bell rang. Libby sat next to her at lunch one day, determined to make a new friend. Claire said hi, but kept her head down the whole time. Suddenly, she jerked her head up.
“Hey,” she said. “You have two right feet!”
“Yes,” said Libby, “I do!”
Claire moved her feet from under the table. Boy was she wearing some cute shoes.
Then Libby gasped! Claire had TWO LEFT FEET! And better yet, she wore the same shoe size as Libby! Claire’s family had been buying two of all the cute shoes in the shoe store the whole time!
The two girls had their parents meet and they came to an agreement. They would pool their money, buy two pairs of shoes and each girl could wear cute shoes whenever they wanted; Libby with two right feet, and Claire with two left. And the girl became best friends and lived happily ever after and when they were old, they counted all of their shoes and they had over 42 billion pairs of cute shoes apiece.
The End.
